The MLGS is a friendly society, everyone is always welcome, golfing prowess is not important. Being a member of the society is all about friendship, fun, but mostly it’s about golf.
Membership of the society is not required to play in any of the fixtures, but it is advisable if you wish to compete for the trophies. Prizes for nearest the pin (of which there may be more than one at each meeting) money for birdies and other prizes played for on the day are included in the match fees which means they are available to guests, silverware is for members only.
Want to know which group you are in, and your tee time? Click here for details or go to the menu and you will find the information under Next Fixture.
As soon as Robin lets me have the groups I will update this page. Sometimes time does not allow for this page to be updated with groups and times.
This website now has Mobile Friendly Pages that will show on your mobile in a format that is easy to read

WELCOME TO THE HOMEPAGE OF THE ML GOLF SOCIETY
Last Updated: 21 April 2014
Message from Doreen.
I want you all to know how overwhelmed I was with your tribute to Harry and how proud of him I am that you would want to do something in his memory.
He was a good man. I miss him.
I hope you all have a good season of golf. I send all good wishes and Thank You!
Very sincerely Doreen.

After Test Valley we travel to Leckford GC.
Leckford GC is owned by the John Lewis Group. There are two 9 hole courses, the ‘Old’ and the ‘New’. We play the ‘Old’ it’s a neat, but tight 9 hole course, always presented in good condition. I have played the ‘New’ course but prefer the one we play.
There is no restaurant at Leckford so we travel to the Hampshire to eat, not ideal but our best option.
See you on the first tee, please be early to pay your fees and buy raffle tickets, and don’t forget to brink a prize.
DIARY DATE - 16 MAY
Test Valley Golf Club. Another golf course built on chalk but not so hilly as High Post. It’s usually playable no matter what the weather. There are some interesting holes, such as 7 which is quite short but has out of bounds to the right and trees to the left of a very narrow fairway, if that’s not enough to make you think there are bunkers waiting to catch a short drive. The following hole is a rather nice dogleg with a small pond on the corner and a larger pond up near the green. Then there’s 15 which has a pond strategically placed just where a really long fade would land. Test Valley is a good course for the society, some long holes, some short, some interesting, a great mix of holes and a course we can enjoy no matter what our handicap is.
